Enjoy Tacos at the Arizona Taco Festival
Who doesn’t love tacos? The 6th Annual Arizona Taco Festival is coming to the Salt River Fields in Scottsdale on October 17th and October 18th from 11am until 7pm each day. This event will be packed with fun activities for anyone and everyone to enjoy. The most important aspect of the festival, tacos, will be offered for $2 from over 40 vendors. Events include eating contests, a Chihuahua pageant, tequila expo on Saturday, and live music.
Test your spice tolerance with the hottest pepper challenge, where you’ll take on the challenge of eating increasingly hot peppers until you can no longer handle the heat. You can also test your ability to eat without the fire by entering the taco eating challenge, where you’ll try to eat 10 tacos the fastest. If neither of those appeal to you, you have the ability to try your hand at the nacho eating challenge: eating a whole plate of ultimate nachos topped with ghost pepper hot sauce. Just be sure to please your dentist, and make your dental appointment before eating all that crunchy, spicy food.
Watch a parade of Chihuahuas dressed in their best taco-wear, and decide which wins your heart as cutest.
All of these exciting events will be placed around local live music acts including: The Amazing Coconauts, De’Anza, Jaleo Band, and The Wiley Ones.
The grand-finale of the weekend is crowning the best taco of the festival. Eat and drink your way through the 6th Annual Arizona Taco Festival, and see if you can guess which taco will be champion.
