teaIf you start your day off with a morning cup of coffee you may want to reevaluate your routine. While coffee may give you the pep in your step that you need to get your day going, there are many benefits to drinking tea that will make the case for switching over.

Here are ten benefits that you will experience from taking up tea.

  1. Tea is filled with antioxidants that help to combat various forms of cancer including breast, colorectal, skin, lung, esophagus, ovarian, liver and colon cancer. Drinking tea while maintaining a solid diet and exercise regimen are great ways to prevent cancer.
  2. Despite the caffeine content, tea is still an excellent what to stay hydrated in the morning.
    For those who like long-distance exercise; tea has been shown to increase endurance. Scientist have found that antioxidants known as catechins improve the body’s ability to burn fat as fuel increasing muscle endurance.

  8. For smokers, research shows that individuals who drink tea are at a lower risk for lung cancer. However, nothing cuts your risk like putting down cigarettes forever!
  9. Forget Milk! Tea has been shown to improve bone mineral density and strength.
  10. Tea is beneficial for individuals with Type-II diabetes. Research has shown that green tea may help how diabetics process sugar.
